Local Governing Body (LGB)
The Local Governing Body (LGB) form the Shropshire local tier of the Trust’s governance structure. They are a committee of the Trust Board.
The LGB have delegated responsibilities. They:
- Provide assurance to Trustees, the LGB gains a comprehensive understanding of their school’s standards, strengths and areas for improvement.
- Build and maintain strong connections with stakeholders, including pupil and staff voices, parental involvement and community engagement.
- Collaborate with school leaders and the Central Trust Team to ensure effective safeguarding, SEND provision, and support of vulnerable students adhering to the required standards.
- Work alongside school leaders and the Central Trust Team to ensure the financial efficiency of the school.
In summary, the LGB plays a vital role in connecting the school, Trust and wider community.
